Anger Management Groups

The powerful feelings and behaviors that anger can cause may be destructive to yourself and others if they are not controlled. The result? Domestic violence, road rage, child abuse, workplace violence, divorce….

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I lead a confidential court referred Anger Management Group for men and women. Group participants are either court mandated or self-referred and would like to learn how to recognize and manage their anger in a more constructive way. Through facilitated discussion and experiential exercises in a supportive, compassionate environment, you will learn what your anger is telling you and how you can manage it appropriately.

The benefits to you as a participant in this Anger Management Group are many. The group is taught using a Cognitive Behavioral Approach and assists members to:

  • Understand anger, how to recognize triggers, thoughts, feelings, behaviors and consequences of anger.
  • Learn new skills and new tools to better manage anger
  • Learn how to Improve self-esteem and have more satisfying relationships
  • Learn how to Improve self-care & well-being
  • Discuss and reflect on material taught in group

The Anger Management Group meets once per week for 1.5 hours. Please call for details.
